The Team and Role

As a Working Student in Frontend/Backend Engineering (all genders), you will join our development team and gain hands-on experience building complex, large-scale software in a mission-critical environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll help shape the digital infrastructure that supports real-world clinical care — learning how to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality code with real impact.

Your Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with our core development team on real product features
Design, test, deploy, and maintain backend or frontend components of Avelios services
Learn how to build and maintain large-scale clinical software infrastructure
Work with modern technologies in a high-impact healthcare setting
Learn and apply best practices in secure and efficient software engineering
Contribute ideas to improve performance, usability, and user experience

Your Qualifications

Currently enrolled in Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
Experience in at least one of the following: Java, C++, Rust, Swift, TypeScript, or React
Demonstrated coding experience (e.g. GitHub contributions) is a plus
Passion for learning and exploring new technologies
Solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution
Fluency in German and/or English

Das Team und deine Rolle

Unsere Mission bei Avelios ist es, die führende Softwareplattform für die datengetriebene Digitalisierung von Krankenhäusern und Patientenversorgung zu entwickeln. Zu diesem Zweck haben wir eine modulare Softwareplattform entwickelt, die Arbeitsabläufe in Krankenhäusern mit modernster Technologie auf benutzerfreundliche Weise digitalisiert und optimiert. Mit unserer Software versetzen wir Krankenhäuser, Ärzte und Pflegekräfte in die Lage, ihren Patienten die bestmögliche Versorgung zukommen zu lassen.

Um die Zukunft des Gesundheitswesens weiter mitzugestalten, suchen wir einen Werkstudenten (w/m/d) im Bereich Frontend/Backend Engineering als wichtiges Mitglied unseres Entwicklungsteams. Bei uns hast du die Möglichkeit zu lernen, wie Software in einem sehr relevanten Bereich geschrieben und in einer komplexen Infrastruktur eingesetzt wird.

Direkt mit unserem Core Development Team zusammenarbeiten
Avelios Services konzipieren, erweitern und weiterentwickeln
Lernen wie hochskalierbare Enterprise Software geschrieben wird
An den neuesten Technologien im Bereich Medizin arbeiten
Best Practices in schneller und sicherer Softwareentwicklung lernen
Ideen zur Useability und Performance entwickeln und umsetzen

Deine Qualifikationen

Studium der Informatik, Computerwissenschaften oder Wirtschaftsinformatik
Erfahrung in einer oder mehreren Sprachen: Java, C++, Rust, Swift, Typescript oder React
Einschlägige Coding-Erfahrung (GitHub-Contributions von Vorteil)
Interesse am Lernen neuer Technologien
Lösungsorientierte Denkweise & Fokus auf die Umsetzung von Aufgaben
Fließende Sprachkenntnisse in Deutsch und/oder Englisch
